Does anyone know if the detours will be in place on 285, Fairplay to Antero over the weekend?
Will the road still be closed?
We're traveling through there Friday approx 5:30 and returning on Sunday afternoon.
Any info would be appreciated!! :)

CDOT website shows Shoulder Work on Friday, July 12 from 5am to 9pm North of Fairplay - Mile Marker 188-190
I do believe that is just South of CR5 where they are adding passing lanes.

Doesn't remotely answer the question. Denise - The construction south of Fairplay is Monday through Thursday.

ddenise 1 - expect heavy traffic possibly causing delays.
There's no detour between Fairplay and Antero Junction today Friday 7/12.

I just saw notification that the detour will be in place next week Monday 7/15 thru Thursday 7/18 as well.
Safe travels to all.

Wow. A bit harsh indeed. I fail to understand why some people just simply can't reply to an honest comment without some demeaning remark.

I left for Salida this am @8:30 from Bailey, they were working low speeds 40 for some area 50 for others but traffic moved. Return trip that area 1:30 all were gone normal speed . The usual Southbound weekend traffic, vehicles and RV's far as the eye could see ! During the week more invasive I'm sure, for folks going to work . Just my story for using 285 today.
