Oh no, more snow :thud:

Geez can't we get a break and let some of what we already have melt???

:praying: Pretty please :praying:

The NWS said 2-4 inches today, but I already have that much new snow accumulated today and it is still snowing like the dickens.

Enough already!
Let it melt, let it melt, let it melt!

These are the answered prayers of last fire season's anxiety attacks.

Its been challenging, getting around, to say the least.

I'm truly grateful for helpful neighbors, considerate cleaning clients and discounts at the local liquor stores....

The snow started around noon time fast and furious here on the mountain. Then around 4:30 it was like someone turned the spicket off and the snow stopped. Now there are blue skies above. Only about 2 inches new snow fell here.

Cooknthyme, I agree with you. It would be nice to have at a few days reprieve between snow events. So far, February has been a challenging weather month. I keep having to change appointments due to heavy accumulating snowfall...

Oh no is right. I do appreciate the moisture though. I've lost track, but how much snow have people gotten since Feb. 3? i would guess between 3-4 feet where I am in Conifer. I worked on the deck today but gave up. Snow is up to the top of the deck floor so now has to be shoveled over the railing. Snow in the front is almost as tall as I am. Maybe I should get a ladder to stand on. :rof laughing:

I think we are about the same - I gave up trying to measure and add it up. We are on the west side of Conifer Mtn just below where wxgeek used to live, so miss his total updates. We have a long driveway from the road to the house and have had (as of this snow) 7 plows on our driveway in the last 9 days. We have been joking that we will need to take out a loan to pay for the plowing! Only joking - we are grateful to get plowed out. Although our driveway is starting to get a little narrow and the piles are getting pretty high, so we need some warm and sunny days to get some melting before the next snow. And loving all the moisture! :multi:

I hate to say this, but March or April are usually our biggest snow fall months. By the way, what does KZ stand for? I lived here for 49 years and I haven't heard the expression.

Gosh some of you have been hit harder than me, so I guess I complain too much.

I generally have about 1.5 - 2 ft (of compressed, heavy snow) but with some piles reaching much higher. Personally, my biggest issue is that I can no longer shovel myself and can't afford the cost of plowing (trying to manage on SS which doesn't even cover basic bills). So I must rely on the generosity of others when the sun isn't enough. (I hate asking for help, embarrassed that I am no longer capable of doing many simple tasks).

Looks like we'll have a short stretch of sunny days starting today!! I really, really hope the snow melts into water instead of sublimates (from snow directly into water vapor) because we sure could use the moisture.

But with intense sun and dry air, unfortunately most of this snow will sublimate doing precious little to replenish our ground water.

BTW, KZ stands for KZ Ranch which is a subdivision off of CR43 in Bailey.
As for the name, this may help

I was wondering where the snow topic was. This has been quite amazing (sorry for those that this is hard on). Yes, digging out a lot, but so beautiful. I don't remember another February like this since I've been here in 1995, but maybe my memory is just not that good. The good thing about this snow is that it isn't spring yet so it will melt into the land slowly.

Mirsh, love your photos, it really shows the amount. Here are a couple of mine.

Almost up to my knees.
