The more recent forecasts are not mentioning any snow highlights at all below 10,000 feet. Sounds damp and unsettled later Sunday and Monday.

Maybe not for your property, but the NWS is predicting snow for Conifer, Bailey to Fairplay.

With the temp hovering around 33 degrees, it has been snowing intermittenly here since around 7:30 AM this morning.

Here at a whopping 4400 ft, we are watching the Wet Mountains get drenched.........HOPING that it is coming our way. Also waiting for the moisture in Bailey, et al to inch our way with some moisture. I don't think we will get snow as the high today was right around 70°................. :praying:

Same here. Hard, rain snow mix near lions head since 7:00-7:30 this morning. Love it!

There's about a inch of snow and still coming down; although it has tappered off a bit. The forest could use a lot more snow. Very glad (for my Golden's sake) the thunder left.

Am wondering how the cold temps and snow will affect the Aspen trees just beginning to leaf this past Wednesday/Thursday. Cold temps with 4 inches of snow occurred 2 years ago during the Memorial holiday weekend and I lost 15 Aspen trees that had just started to leaf. I was hoping they would rebound, but they never did. I guess time will tell.

One of our 19 years in Pine saw our Aspens leaf out, freeze, leaf out again, freeze and the THIRD time they leafed out, it was very sparse but the majority of them made it. Hold on, they're pretty hardy 'animals'

Last year, here in Pueblo, we had one lone aspen come up in our garden volunteer and we left it. It quadrupled in size in one year and is doing great again this year.

I have no plans to do anything to them. I am letting 'Mother Nature' take her course. If nothing else, the birds appreciate having them around to 'perch upon.'

Just took the puppies down to the yard to run around a bit. Snow picked up in intensity shortly after 3 PM. There is 3 inches of snow on the decks so far: lesser amounts on the forest floor with the initial melting on contact, though it is sticking now. With the high humidity (77%), the temp feels warmer than 31 degrees showing on the weather stations.
