Wow. Next movie blockbuster ‘The return of the miller moths’’.

This section of the article —

What eats them?

They have many natural enemies, including predatory ground beetles, hunting wasps, and many birds. Grizzly bears in Yellowstone are known to feed on large numbers of the fat-rich moths they find under loose rocks.

They forgot to mention Bambi. LOL

Years ago when someone else made a post about where are all these Miller Moths coming from, I responded
all of ours are home, I counted.

Some were mildly amused....

Almost none here. We see very few insects besides bees, but the birds coming in for birdseed and the birdbath catch them to feed hatchlings and the green tailed towhees, juncos, and robins keep the flower beds policed. In 6 years here I've used insecticide once.

A zillion here in Shaffers Crossing. They are EVERYWHERE. For example, I turned on our grill last night, and several few out. I opened a kitchen cabinet door, out out comes a Miller Moth. Pick up a bucket outside, the 3 moths fly off. They are hanging on the wall in several places.

dp, I can try to send a few your way...

I'm sure the birds would appreciate it. Fledged young are showing up so the population is increasing rapidly, or I could loan you some birds.

Haven't seen many here at all past few nights. The cats sit by the screen waiting for them disappointed.

Any suggestions for moth infestation?
