Bank of the West was purchased and has been making the transition to Bank of Montreal for over a year.
It was all finalized over Labor Day weekend.

What problems are you having?

I also use them as a bank... the transition was smoother than I expected. As long as you change the routing # on any draft payments you have, it should have been pretty painless. Even using the new app was easier than I thought it would be. Everything literally "rolled over ". Your checking account #'s should have stayed the same. Only the savings account numbers changed IF they were connected to a checking account with the same account #.

i had a problem. i tried to use the bank of the west credit card which is still good - but using it at home depot? not so good. they denied my purchase, then tried at Tony's - also denied. tried calling the number on the back - a recording said my account was invalid. called our local conifer bank - she was of no help, saying it was home depot's scanners that were faulty. i was furious as that was my only credit card. drove to conifer bank and Joe was very helpful, but was on the phone for 18 minutes trying to get a hold of the main BMO guys. finally, 'they' 'unlocked' my card saying they thought it was fraudulent. (why?) works now. if you have a credit card through them, either have the BMO customer service number or have another payment method.

I've used my credit card numerous times with no issues. I've also logged on to online banking numerous times successfully until last Friday. It wouldn't take my credentials and wouldn't let me reset them. I got through to the live support relatively quickly and was told to use all lower case on my user name (I had a combination of upper/lower case and numerics). That worked but I find it odd that you can't use upper case in you user name but you can for your password.

We've been having problems with them. All started when we tried to get gas at Stinkers with my husbands card. Denied and marked as fraudulent. Tried mine and it worked. We had to go in person to have his card "unlocked". Everything worked great with his card and mine. Passwords were reset and we were good to go. Yesterday I went to look at my balance and now I can't get in. Tried my new password and my old one...neither of them worked. Argh...pain in the butt!!!

Not only could we not get our balance when we called. We were told we had to go to the bank. Did not appreciate drive to just get balance. Only reason we went is because auto-answer did not say why, to drive to bank. We thought something was wrong. Hope they get glitches worked out. Glad some clients are doing well.
