The keto friendly bread at Safeway is Orowheat.

I was born in Balto and my dad's family was German. Sauerkraut was always part of the holiday. I cook it like my mother did, with pineapple to sweeten it. That's more a German way.

Oyster stuffing. Man, I haven't had that in years. We had that on Thanksgiving back East as well.

Wow, that one is new to me. Cool!

I can't try it because it contains wheat and soy, but 3 net carbs per slice is not bad.
Thanks for the info.

My dad grew up in Cumberland, hence the oysters. We also had oyster stew on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eves. Don't know how the sauerkraut got started, but it was from his childhood, also.

Cool. I attended Frostburg State for awhile long time ago. Always loved Cumberland and LaVale areas.

Question: Anyone ever try making divinity up here? If so, and it worked, any tips?

Chili Con Carne with a side of corn bread to go in the oven when the pot roast comes out. Oh, and Spanish Rice.

And in the oven right now is a pot roast in my le Crueset Dutch oven and I’m roasting a couple of sweet potatoes alongside that got forgotten in the back of the cold storage cabinet. How bad could they be?

I like to cook on weekends so I have plenty of yummy heat and eats for supper on work days.

BIIGGG double batch of Chicken Paprikash to celebrate Granddaughter's 19th B'Day. Her choice - she likes GrandPa's cookin'. Used 12 drumsticks & 8 thighs, 2 pots.

I haven't made that in ages. I'll add it to this week's meal plan.
Thanks for sharing!

Jambalaya!
It's been a long time since I've made any.

I went light on the tomato and cayenne pepper (my least fav ingredients) and added a bit of horseradish (a type of "heat" that I can tolerate and a flavor I simply love).

It is much better than it looks in this pic. ;)

Made the kiddo a cake for his 24th bday.

Scratch made dark chocolate layer cake with scratch made raspberry gelee and fresh raspberry filling, dark chocolate ganache topped with fresh raspberries.
