From fb 285 traveler page 1hr ago:

“ Good morning all, light snow on the roads this morning 43 and Shelton are not to bad some lane recognition 285 is starting to get covered to pine then wet to kings valley and then no lane recognition 73 is covered with little or no lane recognition,There was some police activity at the entrance to conifer high school (4cars) so I assume they nabbed whoever needed nabbing, only about 1/2inch on the ground in Evergreen”

“ Just saw a suv roll over at windy point south bound, take it easy this morning”

“ I called it in, watched them loose control coming around the corner a they were parallel to me. They re corrected away from median but hit the retaining wall and rolled. I was northbound so wasn't able to stop. Looked like a pretty hard impact”

“ How is the drive from pine junction to conifer?”

“ My 17 year old just drove from PJ to the high school and she said it was fine. I will say that her definition of fine and mine are a little different!”

“ It was an ice skating rink about thirty minutes ago”

“ 285 NB was fine at Aspen Park to Windy point. Then at Windy Point it gets slick. 4 vehicles off the road. That was at 7:20.”

“ Cotrip.org is showing passenger vehicle traction law from MM228 to MM203. Kenosha Pass to Jefferson/Park county line.

All CMV must chain up MM229 to MM250. C470 to Jefferson/Park county line.”

“ I drove Pine to Golden, leaving Pine at 7, Windy Point at 730, and getting to Golden at 8.

Side Roads were not plowed.

285 was plowed, full lane recognition, and honestly not horrible. There was 1 car at Windy Pt (the rollover posted earlier) which was on a tow truck. RTD bus broke down across from Stop4Gas. Heading into the Canyon 285 did become worse, but again not horrible.

C470 just wet.

If it keeps snowing they will get bad but from what I see it's supposed to stop snowing soon.

Studded snow tires, on an all wheel or 4 wheel drive car, and slower speeds, you should have zero issues.”

I just put one in the scanner forum: crash on northbound 285 near Indian Hills exit at mm247.
