Sales Associate Job Description
Mountain Hearth and Patio, a division of Mountain Man Fireplace & Chimney, is located in Evergreen, CO founded by Colorado native Jake Johnson in 1998. We provide the highest level of chimney and customer care to the West Denver metro and Foothills communities. Our company culture is built on teamwork, trust, and training. Our team here at Mountain Hearth and Patio is seeking a Sales Associate to add to the team at the Evergreen CO location, reporting directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing. Responsibilities
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Assess customer needs and provide assistance and information on product features, take a servant attitude and diagnose and address problems
• Develop sales proposals that are carefully documented, timely, and address client concerns, including home visits as needed
• Follow up with clients and prospects after completed service or to check on proposals
• Track and execute department sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
• Maintain in-stock status and presentable condition to products and showroom, including opening and closing checklists
• Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, changing the store’s design)
• Organize appliances and prep to coincide with install schedule
• Build productive trust relationships with customers, including follow up calls to ensure customer satisfaction
• Obtain positive customer reviews on social media and Google
• Occasionally represent the company at local networking functions
• Build mutually beneficial partnerships with industry professionals in the community
Requirements
• Proven work experience as a retail sales associate, sales representative or similar role
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus

• Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
• Experience and ease working with social media channels such as Facebook
• Access to reliable transportation
• Self starter, can-do attitude with willingness to learn and develop
• Interest in building community connections on behalf of the company
• High school education required; Bachelor’s Degree a plus
Salary plus commission
$35,000 base
$25,000 - $75,000 commission
