Little critters and birds will gather it up as nesting material if nothing else

:coffee screen: Human hair as deer repellent is a myth. Deer in our area a very accustom to human scents.

:yeah that: So go ahead and put it out. It will be appreciated.

A physical barrier is the only sure thing against deer. Cheap deer netting works great if it is secured so they can't move it aside.

Aromatics such as mint, rosemary, etc and yes even minty/eucalyptus soaps will deter, IF and I stress IF there are plenty other food choices for them near by, very near by.

This Spring they are incredibly hungry and they ate some of my chives and tarragon (which they normally leave alone). This morning I saw a deer eating a pine branch in my slash pile. They are VERY hungry right now.

I hope the grasses really kick in here soon. Aspens should begin leafing out any day now (already have in some places) so that will help feed them.

I don't know about repelling deer, but it is a good way for barbers to get rid of unwanted hair ...
