My husband needs new hearing aids. He got his current aids a Hearing Rehab Center. I see that Costco sells hearing aids so I looked them up on the internet. Here's their page.

But, I found some reviews on Costco hearing aid centers and some are not so good.

Consumer Affairs - Costco Hearing Aids

Consumer Reports lists Costco as their national top supplier.

Have you or someone you know purchased hearing aids from Costco? If so, what was your experience and which Costco did you deal with?

I bought Resound from Costco 3+ years ago. They were OK. But the customer service and support is the best you could ever expect. I had a problem while in Puerto Vallarta, and the Costco there fixed them for free in minutes! But now I lost one, and the free replacement warranty ran out at 2 years. They offer a better hearing aid now for about half the price of the former ones. I know a guy that has them, and he says they are much better than the older Resound. I had quotes from a couple Hearing specialists that were so insanely expensive, that I walked out; and was glad to find Costco offers them.

Thanks Plumster, that's the kind of detailed review I'm looking for.

Purchased a pair of Rextons from Costco about 15 years ago in Nevada. I was very happy with the price compared to other hearing clinics and the service. 2 years ago I purchased a pair of Resounds. Hearing aides are now about half the cost of 15 years ago. A few months ago I lost one at a concert (fell out of my shirt pocket). I went to Costco and told the truth and they replaced it free of charge. I gotta say for me hearing aides help a lot with hearing conversations in quiet places and hearing dialog on the TV. In noisy places even using the "noisy place" mode only marginal improvement. Kinda hard to hear still in a somewhat noisy car on the road. When I first got them years ago I was just blown away by the improvement. After about 2-3 weeks when you become accustomed to them you realize they do not give you complete, normal hearing. They are still well worth it though and I think Costco is the way to go. Every 2 years I go in for a free hearing test and reprogram of the hearing aides. Hope this helps!

Neighbor has Costco hearing aids and he is a cranky, picky SOB in general. However he is very pleased with his hearing aids and the service he has received from Costco. I've had hearing tests from several companies and found Costco's to be thorough. It's about time for me and I will be going to Costco for my hearing aids.
