Wife and I were among the first with Covid in March 2020. Severe body aches short breath and lethargy for months after we were 'better', well into that Summer. Since Dec 2020 my wife is on heart medication for life, and a 'full day' for us on the farm is only 5 hours. We used to do 8-10 easy and then watch TV to 11pm. This is more like Malaria for me, I have weeks/months where I'm fine, and then have a week or more where I am just wiped out for no reason, sleeping late and going to bed early and still yawning all day. Oh, and headaches for no reason several times a month for both of us.

I wonder if this treatment is something you guys would be good candidates for. I am so sorry the quality of life has taken such a turn. hugs

If JtD is interested, my niece said the clinic was exceptionally helpful during her initial phone call with them. They didn't rush, and answered her questions clearly. It might be worth a phone call - what could it hurt?

After reading this thread, I did some extensive research of my own. I suffered terribly with brain fog all last year after having a mild case last January (2022). I could live with the short term memory loss as I made notes in my phone and relied on my Google calendar for all my commitments. What I couldn’t deal with was the lack of common sense in the routine decisions and thought processes.

I read many web articles and also talked to my regular doctor and a neurologist I see annually at the VA. She had heard of the procedure for other issues, but not for long-term COVID. Neither of the doctors saw any reason to avoid the injection.

As someone else mentioned, the medical interview with someone from Metamorphosis Pain Clinic was very well done and not rushed. In the end, I scheduled the procedure the first week of December. Insurance covered the interview, which I did remotely. Even though the injection has been done for other things for some time, because it is experimental for COVID I had to cover that cost. I went to their clinic on the north side of Colorado Springs. It was all very professional and well done.

The impact wasn’t immediate, but on the drive home I could tell I was thinking differently. Within two days I felt I had my life back and within a week I felt like I was 90% of my old self. It has been wonderful the last two months. I get up in the morning knowing what I need to accomplish that day. I can run errands without having to make a list. I can remember what my wife and I talked about yesterday.

I would recommend anyone suffering from this consider calling these people and at least doing the interview. Nothing in medicine is guaranteed, of course, but it seems this is working well for many, many of us.

tmjbp, thank you for sharing your experience. Hopefully, someone else who is or who has a loved on suffering as you did will read this and consider the treatment.

tmjbp, I am so happy you researched. And extremely happy that you've had relief from your symptoms!
